FAQs

Is Judo for me?

Judo is for everyone. It’s an incredibly inclusive sport, featuring men and women in both the Olympics and Paralympics.

What can judo do for me?

Judo will keep you fit, it will give you confidence, you’ll make new friends and you’ll learn something that you could use to defend yourself. 

What do I need to bring?

If you arrive in tracksuit bottoms and a plain t-shirt (no buttons, zips or buckles), then we can supply a jacket and belt. Please bring a drink of water too, judo is hot work.

Any long hair should be tied back too please.

What happens after the free Lesson?

At your trial we’ll have a chat about how you’d like to progress, we’ll give you a small form to fill out and get you on our system. 

Speak with one of the coaches about the beginners package we offer.

How many students do you have?

We’re a fairly new club, but already have around 85 registered students, with more showing interest each week.

What makes you different?

We have our members best interests at heart and as such all our coaches are trained in child protection, have a current DBS and are affiliated with the British Judo Association.
